The Difference Between Active and Passive Decision Making

We make decisions even when we do nothing. If we do nothing, the world still continues spinning on its axis, old deadlines approach and new deadlines emerge. We can choose to participate or remain removed from important decisions and crucial moments that will have consequences for months and years to come. That is to say that decisions are made about our lives whether we are engaged and involved in the decision making process or not.

If we wish to navigate the course of our lives successfully, we absolutely need to be as engaged with these processes are possible. Otherwise, how can we reach any of our goals if we simply sit back and watch as events unfold? We need to get involved, set ourselves targets and then best decide how to reach those targets.
