When the best thing to do is wait

All of our courses are focused on deciding on a particular course of action. Is it better to do A, B, C or D and why? It directly relates to whatever goal you or your business have in their sights.

But sometimes it is actually best to delay the decision-making process. It is sometimes best to simply wait.

The primary reason for postponing making a decision is because you simply do not have enough reliable information on which to base a quality decision. If this is the case then we always advise against rushing into making a decision based on little evidence or flimsy data.

Of course, it’s not always possible to delay making a decision. Deadlines are deadlines and many decisions are tied to specific dates. But where possible, don’t just make a decision for the sake of it. A decision without good justification based on sound analysis is highly risky.
